Bon Temps was founded on the ideals of the Order Of Good Cheer — a Canadian tradition dating back to 1606. When Samuel de Champlain and his fellow French settlers arrived on Canadian shores, they were faced with unrelenting winter weather. The following winter, Champlain founded the Order Of Good Cheer — an epic occasion of feasts and entertainment — to keep settlers’ spirits high and help everyone get through difficult months.
We are doing our best to continue the tradition of the Order Of Good Cheer through these difficult months. Cheers.
